Tyrannosaurus Rex is often called T. Rex because his name is hard to spell. Tyrannosaurus means “bossy and mean lizard” and rex means “king.” T. Rex was king of all the bossy and mean dinosaurs. T. Rex was a meat-eater and lived about 65 million years ago.
